Delivery Van Driver

Job description Myers Produce is a regional distributor, transporting fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, meat, cheese, and grains from farms in the Northeast to wholesale customers in NYC, Boston, and the Cape, and throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Vermont. We are a small team dedicated to supporting local and regional growers and producers. We are currently hiring for a part-time Driver position based in Northern Vermont, with a preference for candidates based near Hardwick, VT. This is a temporary position while a long-time employee is on leave. The position involves driving a refrigerated van to various pick-up & drop off locations throughout Northern Vermont. The schedule involves 25

• 35 hours per week, with occasional opportunities to pick up additional hours. The schedule includes shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Each shift will run from approximately 6am-4pm. The ideal candidate for this position
• Is an Excellent navigator
• Is available early mornings on day of driving shifts
• Has experience driving a delivery van
• Is observant, safety conscious, and attentive to detail
• Is able to adapt to the changes and surprises that are inevitable in our line of work
• Has great problem-solving skills
• Is a great communicator
• Likes physical work, is able to lift 40-50 lb boxes
• Understands how critical their role is to Myers Produce
• Has a smartphone
