We will need a driver to fill in for a couple months while ours is off. You will be driving a manual, 28' flatbed - GVW 50,000 to pick up and deliver weldments from machine and paint shops. Available hours to work are Monday to Thursday 5:00am to 3:30pm. Fridays 5:00am to 12:00pm. Duties Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with all traffic laws and transportation safety regulations. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each trip to ensure mechanical integrity and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Navigate city streets efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and traffic conditions, including adverse weather situations. Complete all required documentation such as logs, incident reports, and vehicle inspection forms accurately and promptly. Drive forklift to load and unload parts. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (air brake certification). Proven experience in delivery driving roles. Knowledge of transportation safety regulations including DOT and state transportation laws. Defensive driving skills with a clean driving record demonstrating safe driving habits. Ability to operate vehicles in various weather conditions and on city streets with confidence. Excellent communication skills in English. Familiarity with vehicle inspections and traffic laws.
