Job Description

Jacko Logistics, a Tampa-based leader in freight and logistics, is hiring CDL-A Truck Drivers to support regional and long-haul operations. In this role, you'll safely operate late-model equipment, complete pre/post-trip inspections, manage electronic logs, and ensure on-time pickup and delivery across our service regions. You'll work closely with dispatch and customers, representing our customer-first, reliability-focused culture on every load. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL-A tractor-trailers on regional and long-haul routes, following all DOT and company safety regulations Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting and reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly Ensure on-time pickup and delivery of freight, managing routes, schedules, and required rest breaks efficiently Secure, load, and unload freight as needed, verifying documentation, counts, and cargo condition Maintain accurate logs, electronic logging device (ELD) records, and delivery paperwork in compliance with regulations Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and warehouse teams regarding status, delays, and any service issues Protect freight and company equipment, practicing defensive driving and safe operating procedures at all times Support a customer-first culture through professional behavior, problem-solving, and responsive service on every load Required Skills CDL-A commercial driving DOT and FMCSA compliance Tractor-trailer operation Electronic logging devices (ELD) Freight securement and loading Route planning and time management Vehicle inspection and basic troubleshooting Defensive driving and safety practices Paperwork and bill of lading management Customer and dispatch communication
