PrideStaff is working closely with a key client in the Richvale area to staff a very busy production season starting in September and may run through November. Positions and duties are specific to shift, and the seasonal operations often run 7 days per week. This is general labor in a warehouse that is not climate controlled. The job requires you to be on your feet for the duration of the required shift, except for breaks and meal rest periods. Candidates must be physically fit and have stamina to work an entire shift. Straight time pay is $17.50/hour, time and half for over time as well as double time as is compliant with wage and hour requirements in the State of California. Top performers may be kept longer for potential temp-to-hire roless or requested to return for a busy Spring season as well. Some positions require overtime and double time. Duties include, but are not limited to: Pit Personnel (10 -12 hour am shift) Directs trucks on to pit Ensures the driver is out of the truck cab prior to any rice movement from truck into pit Monitors pit levels and directs trucks to proper pit for unloading Opens and closes pit gates as necessary Opens and closes truck slide gates using a socket wrench 6. Keeps pit area swept and clean of rice/trash Keeps pit area free of tripping hazards Cleans inside dryer as requested by the dryer operator Any other duties that may be assigned by supervisor (assist in warehouse if short staffed) Warehouse Personnel (up to 12 hour shifts/run 24 hours a day) From catwalk, moves spouts on the auger discharge opening as directed by co-workers Using shovel or slinger (metal tool) distributes rice evenly in the warehouse Directs carriage person to move carriage and cross belt so that rice will pile evenly as they fill the warehouse • People working in the warehouse will be walking on top of rice that is piled as tall as the warehouse. Person working the carriage will be standing on a catwalk. Must be comfortable with heights. Clean Up Crew (am and pm 8 hour shifts) Sweeps around dryers, offices, control rooms and the general yard areas Sweeps down any equipment and/or grounds as directed by supervisor General clean-up as appropriate to keep the facility clean and orderly Operates an industrial motorized sweeper PrideStaff Hiring requirements include- Must be over 18 years old Must have proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. Must be willing to submit to a Drug Screen and Background Check.
