Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and experienced Taekwondo Instructor that specializes in Poomsae/Forms to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Taekwondo, coaching, and working with students of various ages. This role involves teaching poomsae techniques, ensuring safety during training, and fostering a positive learning environment for all participants. The instructor will play a vital role in helping students develop their skills, confidence, and discipline through structured sessions and martial arts instruction. Duties Lead and supervise forms and sparring sessions for students practicing Taekwondo techniques. Travel for kindergarten and afterschool training programs. Demonstrate proper techniques and safety protocols to ensure injury-free training. Develop customized training plans to meet individual student goals and skill levels. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their performance. Enforce behavior management to maintain a respectful and focused training environment. Assist with warm-up exercises, stretching routines, and conditioning drills such as stretching, performance training, and sparring techniques. Instruct with private lessons on scheduled days. Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, discipline, and good sportsmanship. Cleaning & Organizing work station and practice areas.
Minimum Requirements:
At least a Kukkiwon Certificate 2nd Dan (Degree). Prior experience in instructing Taekwondo. (Minimum 1 year). Skills in teaching and demonstrating Taeguk's #1-8, Koryo, Keumkang, & Taebaek. Skills in coaching and demonstrating updated Kicking & Sparring Techniques. Ability to work well with children and teens of various skill levels. Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate students in a structured environment.
Bonus Skills:
Chinese and/or Korean speaking. First Aid & CPR Certified.
Pay:
Starting $18/hr-$20/hr Starting pay depending on skill evaluation.
