Overview Join our dynamic team as a CDL Local Delivery Driver and become the vital link between our company and our valued customers! This energetic role offers the opportunity to operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers, delivering essential freight across local routes. You'll be the face of our company, providing exceptional service while ensuring safe, timely deliveries within your community. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload freight using forklifts or manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo integrity and proper documentation Deliver freight efficiently along designated local routes, maintaining accurate delivery schedules Handle various types of cargo including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and other specialized freight Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle maintenance reports Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery times and resolve any issues promptly Experience Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver within a commercial setting, preferably with route driving expertise Familiarity with operating trucks equipped with manual transmissions and various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or manual methods while following safety protocols Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial driving Comfortable handling different types of freight including heavy or bulky items requiring special equipment like forklifts or dump trucks Strong organizational skills for route planning and delivery documentation Valid CDL license with relevant endorsements for local delivery routes Join us to drive your career forward in a role that's energetic, rewarding, and essential!
