Job Description
Driver - Full-Time Position Rapid Wheelchair & Stretcher Transport is a growing non-emergency medical transportation company serving seniors and individuals with mobility limitations throughout the Bradenton and Sarasota areas. We provide safe, reliable, and compassionate wheelchair and stretcher transportation to medical appointments, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, dialysis appointments, nursing facilities, and other healthcare-related destinations. This is not a rideshare or Uber-style driving position. Our drivers assist passengers who may require hands-on assistance, wheelchair transportation, or stretcher transportation. This position involves physical activity, including assisting passengers, pushing wheelchairs, and safely loading and unloading individuals during transport. We are currently hiring a dependable and professional full-time driver to join our team. This is a steady full-time position with guaranteed hours, consistent work, and an opportunity to be part of a supportive team while helping others in the community. What You'll Do Safely operate company vehicles Transport passengers to medical appointments and healthcare facilities Assist passengers using wheelchairs and stretchers Safely push wheelchairs and assist with loading and unloading passengers Communicate clearly with dispatch Perform basic vehicle inspections Maintain a clean and professional vehicle Provide compassionate and respectful service to passengers What We Offer $16-$18 per hour + bonus opportunities + overtime available Guaranteed 40 hours per week Company vehicle and fuel card provided Local routes, home daily Paid training Weekly pay Performance-based pay growth Bonus and incentive programs Health, dental, and vision insurance options 401 (k) with company match after one year What We're Looking For Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required Applicants with points, recent license suspensions, major traffic violations, or insurance-related suspensions within the past 3 years will not qualify for this position due to company insurance requirements Reliable and punctual Professional and respectful Comfortable assisting elderly or mobility-limited individuals Able to perform physical tasks, including pushing wheelchairs and assisting stretcher passengers Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly No prior medical transportation experience required.
