Job Description
We are actively seeking experienced and dependable Owner Operators who own and operate Tri-Axle Dump Trucks that can haul Asphalt in the greater Sarasota area. Join our growing team and partner with us on various local and regional projects. Transport and deliver construction and aggregate materials safely and efficiently. Maintain timely communication with dispatch. Ensure loads are secure and adhere to all transportation regulations. Perform regular vehicle inspections and maintain proper vehicle condition.
Job Requirements:
Must own a reliable, insured Tri-Axle Dump Truck with
ASPHALT SHOOT
Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) CLASS B or GREATER Minimum of 2 years' experience operating dump trucks. Driver must meet the experience requirements and the MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) Criteria outlined in accompanying Driver Hiring Criteria. Must be able to meet the physical requirements as outlined below: Pass pre-employment and subsequent physical examinations as required by the Department of Transportation FMCSA and Company physical evaluation, as well as DOT alcohol and drug screen. Be able to use driver restraint mechanism (seat belt). Have the ability to work alone for extended periods of time. Get in and out of a truck or tractor up to 4-8 times per day, stepping up and down 3 steps, using 3 points of contact. Fuel the truck. Perform walk around inspection prior to, during, and at the end of each shift; including bending, squatting, and reaching to check various portions of the equipment, in all types of weather conditions. Work up to 12 hours per day, up to 6 days per week as necessary, driving up to 10 hours per shift. Report to work at the designated time, fully able physically and mentally to perform the assignment safely and efficiently. Represent the company to customers and the general public in a professional manner by proper dress, grooming, attitude, and actions. Must be able to communicate verbally, in English, with customers and company employees. Must operate the vehicle in a consistently safe manner at all times. Must follow all safety requirements and policies of company. Must use personal protective equipment, including seat belts, hard hats, gloves, and glasses, as required by the task being performed. Must consistently follow all rules and guidelines provided in the Trans-Phos Truck Driver Manual, all federal, state and local laws and regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle. Must be able to identify hazards, such as weather, road conditions, emergencies, or other irregularities, correct and/ or report, and avoid. Must refrain from use of illegal drugs on or off the job.
