Our drivers are critical to our success, helping us meet our clients' needs by delivering products on-time and in excellent condition. At Hirschbach, we value our drivers and provide them with the latest technology and equipment to ensure a safe, efficient journey. Responsibilities Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck to transport refrigerated goods to various destinations across the U. S. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance before and after trips Plan routes and meet delivery schedules, complying with truck driving rules and regulations Handle documentation such as logs, delivery notes, vehicle performance, fuel tickets, and other compliance documents Interact with dispatch and logistics staff to communicate delays, discrepancies, and other significant issues on the road Ensure the integrity and safety of the cargo during transit Required Skills Proven work experience as a truck driver Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
