3007324565-2 Apply for this job now Job Description As a Front-End Driver at GFL Environmental, you will safely operate front-load trucks to collect and transport commercial waste and recyclables on assigned routes. You'll perform pre/post-trip inspections, follow DOT and company safety procedures, and provide courteous service to customers while ensuring timely, efficient pickups. Working in a fast-paced, essential services environment, you'll collaborate with dispatch and operations teams, report equipment issues, and help maintain clean, compliant vehicles. Responsibilities Operate front-load trucks to collect and transport commercial waste and recyclables on assigned routes Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings Follow all DOT, company, and local safety regulations and procedures Communicate with dispatch and operations to manage route changes, delays, and service issues Provide courteous, professional service to commercial customers and address basic service concerns Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and incidents promptly Maintain clean, safe, and compliant vehicle and work area Accurately complete required logs, tickets, and route documentation Handle containers and equipment safely, following lifting and loading procedures Support a safety-first, environmentally responsible culture aligned with GFL standards Required Skills Commercial driving CDL with air brake endorsement Vehicle safety inspections Route navigation and optimization Hydraulic equipment operation Manual material handling Defensive driving Basic vehicle maintenance Time management DOT compliance
