Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Move trailers to designated loading docks within the Borden yard facility. Spot and switch trailers as directed by dispatch or supervision. Initiate trailer cooling process prior to loading; check trailer temperatures and fuel levels. Clean, wash, and fuel trailers; inspect for damage and report any issues. Perform daily inspections and maintenance on switcher tractors, including checking fluid levels and draining air tanks. Complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) at the start of each shift. Maintain cleanliness of the spotter vehicle. Load, unload, sort, and stack pallets as needed. Assist with unloading empty cases, racks, and other equipment. Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized loading bay.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred. Must be able to operate manual transmission vehicles (no automatic restrictions). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read chemical labels and follow safe handling procedures for food-grade products. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; capable of accurately recording data. Bilingual skills are beneficial. Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to work in cold, damp environments and be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Must maintain constant mental focus and awareness of surroundings. Frequent standing, walking, climbing, reaching, and bending required.
