Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:
Safe operation of the truck and situational awareness, always. All duties of the position, including the transporting of materials to plants and job sites in a safe manner via chip truck. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Safely load material. Tarp load to protect products being hauled. Clean and wash vehicle. Includes the spraying down of trailers when needed in designated area. Practice good housekeeping on equipment and in the plant. Recognize mechanical issues immediately as they develop with engine, hydraulic, and electrical systems and take action to shut down and secure the machine to avoid additional damage.
Job Experience:
Required skills, experience, and/or education: Outstanding safety and attendance record High School Diploma or Equivalent Negative DOT drug screen Class A CDL 3 years' minimum experience Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills No more than two moving violations within the last 24 months
Additional Requirements:
Ability to drive a standard manual transmission Availability for the night shift
