We are currently seeking motivated and skilled individuals to join our team as Automated Residential Collection Operators / Container Delivery Drivers . Job Summary As an Automated Residential Collection Operator / Container Delivery Driver (CDL Class B) at Trash Rangers, you will perform a combination of residential waste collection and container delivery services. Three days per week will be dedicated to automated residential collection , operating specialized equipment to collect and dispose of residential waste safely and efficiently. Two days per week will be dedicated to container delivery , delivering, placing, and retrieving front load dumpsters at customer locations. This position requires safe operation of large commercial vehicles, familiarity with automated collection equipment, and the ability to provide dependable and professional service to our customers. You will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our community while supporting multiple areas of our waste management operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Automated Residential Collection — 3 Days Per Week Operate manual and automatic controls to lift and load residential garbage into the truck. Operate compactor equipment and dispose of collected waste at the landfill. Clean waste from behind the packer blade and the truck body on each landfill run to ensure safe and smooth operations. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating the vehicle. Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and supervisors regarding route progress and any issues encountered. Container Delivery — 2 Days Per Week Safely operate a CDL Class B vehicle to deliver and retrieve front load dumpsters. Deliver, place, exchange, and pick up front load dumpsters at commercial and designated customer locations. Ensure dumpsters are positioned safely and appropriately for customer use and collection. Secure and inspect containers and equipment before, during, and after delivery. Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and supervisors regarding deliveries, pickups, and service needs. Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records as required. Follow all company safety procedures and applicable laws and regulations while operating the vehicle. Work Environment This position operates primarily in an outdoor setting, with exposure to various weather conditions. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment. Employees must be comfortable performing both residential collection and container delivery duties and adapting to different operational requirements throughout the workweek. Qualifications Valid CDL Class B license. Previous experience operating waste collection or commercial vehicles is preferred. Experience with automated residential collection or container delivery is a plus. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial vehicle operation, waste collection, and disposal. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to safely operate large vehicles and specialized waste management equipment. Physical ability to handle the job's demands, including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods. Dependable attendance and willingness to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs.
