You'll provide safe, reliable rides while offering peer support and encouragement to individuals walking their path of recovery. Safe Guide:

Transport participants to and from recovery-related services, appointments, and community activities while ensuring dignity and safety at every step.

Empower Through Connection:

Offer peer-based recovery support and coaching during transit, building trust, compassion, and hope along the way.

Support Every Step:

Assist riders with mobility needs (wheelchairs, seat belts, accessibility), ensuring no one is ever left unattended. Shine as a

Keep Things Running Smoothly:

Accurately complete mileage logs, timesheets, vehicle checklists, and participant notes.

Stay Prepared:

Respond quickly to emergencies or unusual situations following GAAMHA's protocols — always keeping safety first.

Attend trainings, team meetings, and supervision, bringing your voice and perspective to GAAMHA's supportive culture. What You'll Need High school diploma or GED At least 3 years of driving experience with a clean driving record Lived experience in recovery with 1 year of sustained sobriety Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a mobile phone Strong communication and interpersonal skills Completion of CCAR Recovery Coach Academy & Ethics training (preferred — or must be completed within 6 months of hire) All applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screen, CORI, and fingerprinting (fees covered by GAAMHA).
