In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting furniture and related items from our warehouse to customer locations. Your enthusiasm for driving, excellent customer service skills, and commitment to safety will ensure a seamless delivery experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be the face of our company while ensuring timely, secure, and professional deliveries. Duties Safely operate box trucks, commercial trucks, or personal vehicles to deliver furniture to residential and commercial customers. Load and unload furniture using manual handling techniques or material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices. Follow designated routes accurately, utilizing mobile devices for navigation and delivery instructions. Communicate professionally with customers upon arrival, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns. Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and safety standards during all driving activities. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain vehicle safety and report any issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including delivery logs and proof of delivery records. Requirements Active Med DOT card Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or commercial trucks. Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is desirable; familiarity with manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks is a plus. Strong knowledge of route driving, adhering to traffic regulations, and safe lifting practices in accordance with DOT standards. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients. Ability to lift heavy furniture items repeatedly while following safety protocols. Experience with warehouse operations or material handling equipment operation is advantageous. Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and communication during deliveries.
