Job Description

Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Class B CDL Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience driving and operating hydraulic switches on refuse trucks
Daily Expectations :
Monday
  • Friday Hours:
    3:30a through completion of route. Largo & Accokeek/Brandywine areas
  • Some Saturdays are needed if a holiday falls on a weekday and days for pick up need to be shifted over. Report to yard in Hughesville, MD at 3:30am. Perform pre-trip inspection, leave yard by 4am and head to route.
  • Once complete with routes daily you will make a final trip to offload refuse at dump / waste stations.
You will then report back to yard and do post trip inspection on truck.
Duties :
  • Operate different types of trucks including rear loader.
  • Offload refuse in dumps and waste stations safely.
  • Drive trucks to transport refuse varying distances.
  • Perform basic mechanical checks on the vehicle before and after each trip.
  • Ensure workers are safe while loading refuse into trucks.
Requirements :
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving
  • At least 2 years prior experience as a CDL truck driver
  • Knowledge of mechanical operations related to trucks is a plus.
  • Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting and moving heavy loads.
  • Familiarity with different types of trucks and their specific requirements.
