Overview Join our dynamic team as a CDL Driver specializing in Frontload or Roll-Off trucks, where your expertise will drive essential waste collection and disposal services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate heavy-duty commercial trucks, ensuring efficient solid waste management for commercial, municipal, industrial and private clients. - Operates vehicles in accordance with Allagash Safety and Life Critical Rules, Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA), Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements as well as all local, state, and federal laws.
- Performs pre- and post- trip inspections of assigned vehicle and documents checks utilizing the standards Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
- Immediately reports all unsafe situations or service-related issues to Supervisor or Dispatch.
- Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required by Allagash.
- Works closely with Supervisor to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
- Notifies Supervisor or Dispatch of any incidents, accidents, injuries, property damage, service interruptions, or customer requests.
- Completely dumps all receptacles and leaves the customer's location clean and free of debris.
- Follows route assignments as directed and completes end of day documentation and check out process.
- Performs all duties as scheduled by Supervisor or Dispatch and assists other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
- Works with leadership to implement strategies for community and municipal outreach.
- Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and other federal, state and local standards.
- Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.
- Maintain vehicles in clean and good working condition.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Experience in waste management or related field preferred
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
