Job Summary The Pumping Service LLC of Benzie County is looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team as a Septic Operator. This position involves septic and holding tank pumping, grease trap service, equipment operation, and commercial vehicle driving. Duties Operate septic pumping trucks and other company equipment. Drive a semi-truck to residential, commercial, and other service locations. Pump and service septic tanks, holding tanks, and grease traps. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of septic and wastewater systems. Safely connect and disconnect hoses and pumping equipment. Dig around tanks and access points using a shovel and other hand tools when necessary. Lift and move heavy hoses, equipment, and other materials. Inspect equipment and report maintenance or repair needs. Maintain a clean and organized truck, equipment, and work area. Follow all applicable safety procedures and environmental regulations. Interact professionally and respectfully with customers. Complete service-related paperwork and/or documentation as required. Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Qualifications Class B CDL required. CDL training may be available for the right candidate. Valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Ability to safely operate and maneuver a large service truck. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy objects and handling large, heavy hoses. Ability to dig with a shovel when needed. Ability to work outdoors for extended periods. Dependable attendance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous septic, wastewater, plumbing, excavation, trucking, or related experience is helpful but not necessarily required. Work Season Our busiest season typically runs from spring through early winter , although the exact season and workload can vary depending on weather, demand, and business needs.
