Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and responsible CDL B Driver with Hazmat certification to join our dynamic propane delivery team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to deliver liquid propane across various routes, all local and home daily. Your expertise in handling hazardous materials, combined with your driving skills, will ensure timely and secure deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated logistics operation committed to excellence and safety. Raises upon performance are a plus with the position. Duties Safely operate Class B commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, tankers, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers, following FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Transport hazardous materials (Hazmat) in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and ensure proper documentation and handling of dangerous goods. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, planning delivery schedules for route driving and over-the-road (OTR) routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for mechanical issues or safety concerns before and after each trip. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo manifests in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues during transit. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across diverse terrains. Valid CDL B license with Hazmat endorsement; experience with propane delivery a plus. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials handling, and safety procedures. Skilled in manual transmission operation and manual handling techniques for cargo loading/unloading. Proficient in using GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and execution. Ability to handle freight safely while complying with logistics cargo handling standards. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance; previous experience in truck loading/unloading is preferred. Pay:
From $24.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
