Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will efficiently transport landscaping materials to various locations, with an emphasis on safe and timely deliveries. Responsibilities include operating a small dump truck, a 1-ton truck with a trailer and 25 foot Kenworth with Moffett, assisting with loading and securing materials, and unloading materials at designated sites. Responsibilities Safely operate across various routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or equipment such as Moffett, Loader, Skid steer, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit. Manage delivery schedules efficiently by utilizing GPS, Being efficient with loading and unloading and having a can do attitude Transport a variety of cargo, including trees, boulders, steel edging, plants, aggregates and palletized items. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and cargo to identify safety issues or damages before and after trips. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and compliance records in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and yard personnel to coordinate pickup and delivery times while providing exceptional customer service. Experience with manual transmissions and Heavy equipment. Skid steers and excavators etc.
