Responsibilities Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to recover and transport vehicles efficiently. Perform vehicle diagnostics and minor mechanical repairs to assist stranded drivers or prepare vehicles for transport. Secure loads properly following cargo securement protocols to ensure safe transportation. Conduct vehicle inspections, troubleshooting basic mechanical issues, and perform minor repairs such as fluid top-offs or tire changes. Assist customers with car towing, vehicle recovery towing, and providing clear communication about service procedures. Load and unload vehicles carefully using manual transmission skills and mechanical knowledge to prevent damage. Follow all safety procedures during vehicle loading onto tow trucks and during roadside assistance operations. Qualifications Proven experience in automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, or mechanic work with a strong mechanical aptitude. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving is preferred. Knowledge of cargo securement protocols, flatbed operation, and safe vehicle loading techniques. Ability to troubleshoot basic vehicle issues using mechanical knowledge and automotive diagnostics tools. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict management situations professionally. Familiarity with manual transmissions, vehicle mechanics for truck drivers, and minor mechanical repairs on various vehicles. Strong driving skills with experience operating tow trucks and performing vehicle recovery towing under different conditions.
