In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, and other construction or industrial cargo across various routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to navigate diverse terrains will ensure timely and efficient deliveries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently on over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of freight including hazardous materials and dangerous goods when applicable Use GPS navigation systems to follow designated routes accurately and optimize delivery schedules Transport freight such as construction materials, industrial supplies, or refrigerated trailers across short and long distances Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo weight, route details, and delivery documentation in compliance with regulatory standards Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, including checking load security, fluid levels, brakes, lights, and tires Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered during transit Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on dump trucks or tractor-trailers Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for heavy vehicles and hazardous materials when required Familiarity with FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and DOT compliance standards Skilled in manual handling techniques for loading/unloading cargo safely and efficiently Experience with GPS navigation systems and route planning for logistics cargo handling Knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures including flatbed and tanker operations if applicable Strong driving record demonstrating safe driving habits on over-the-road routes Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle demanding driving conditions Join us as a Dump Truck Driver to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering quality service while prioritizing safety.
