Job Description

Sysco is hiring a Local CDL A Truck Driver to safely deliver food and supplies to customers in the
JOB-CITY , JOB-STATE
area. In this home-daily role, you'll run local routes to restaurants, healthcare, education, and hospitality accounts, loading and unloading product, completing DOT inspections and logs, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL A tractor-trailer on local routes with home-daily schedules Deliver food and supply orders to restaurants, healthcare, education, and hospitality customers Load and unload products using pallet jacks or lift gates while minimizing product damage Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and complete required DOT documentation Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and Sysco safety policies and procedures Provide professional, courteous customer service at each stop and resolve delivery issues Maintain accurate route logs, delivery paperwork, and electronic records Communicate with dispatch on route status, delays, and equipment concerns Secure loads properly and verify order accuracy before delivery Support Sysco's culture of integrity, diversity, and teamwork on every route Required Skills CDL Class A driving Local route navigation Defensive driving Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Electronic logging devices (ELD) use Time management and route scheduling Customer service Freight loading and unloading Pallet jack and/or forklift operation DOT and FMCSA compliance knowledge
