Commercial Drivers License A OTR Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer on a dedicated route, home weekly, delivering freight efficiently and securely. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailer with a manual transmission, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations This is mostly drop and hook, van loads. Route will be between Greensboro, NC & Jacksonville, FL. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths and maintaining accurate delivery schedules Secure freight properly during transit to prevent damage or loss. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered en route Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, inspections, maintenance needs, and delivery documentation in accordance with federal regulations Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL A license, including driving manual transmission vehicles. Must have 2 years experience and a clean MVR, No SAP Drivers and No Drivers License Restriction. Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and load securement techniques Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when applicable. $1,500.00 - $1,800.00 per week
