Job Description
CDL Truck Driver- Local Delivery Thursday, May 6, 2021 We are looking for a driver needed for local feed deliveries. Deliveries are within 150 mile radius of the Statesville, NC area. Home each night. 40-55 hrs/week. Pay is negotiable. Tasks and Responsibilities
- Drive and deliver feed to customers of Deal-Rite Feeds.
- Deliveries within 150 mile radius of Statesville, NC
- Load/unload commodities
- Unload feed at the correct location per company standards
- 50-55 hrs+/week.
- Any other tasks as assigned from supervisor
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CDL
- Ability to coordinate mixed loads without cross contamination
- Ability to prioritize activities and use available resources to complete required tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- Ability to deal with a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow direction
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business needs dictate.
- Ability to work extra hours as business needs dictate
- Must be able to drive a straight truck.
- Must possess a valid commercial driver's license.
- Must possess a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass an occupational chemical screen upon hire and surprise tests hereafter.
- Ability to sit for significant periods of time.
- Ability to move merchandise generally weighing anywhere from 0-50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull and move items.
- Ability to communicate with associates and customers.
- Drive and work in adverse weather conditions All employees shall be subject to drug testing and background checks.
