Job Description

Ryder System is hiring a CDL A Truck Driver to support our growing transportation network. In this full-time, no-weekend, no-touch freight role, you'll run regional routes, focusing on safe, on-time deliveries for leading brands. You'll perform pre/post-trip inspections, comply with DOT and Ryder safety standards, and maintain accurate electronic logs and paperwork. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailers on regional routes with no weekend work Complete on-time deliveries and pickups with no-touch freight handling Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects Follow DOT, Ryder, and customer safety policies and procedures at all times Maintain accurate driving logs, manifests, and electronic records Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members Secure equipment and freight according to company and regulatory standards Report incidents, delays, or route issues promptly to operations Care for assigned equipment to minimize downtime and maintenance issues Support Ryder's safety-first, customer-focused culture on every route Required Skills CDL A truck driving DOT regulations compliance Electronic logging systems (ELDs) Vehicle inspection and maintenance basics Freight/load securement standards Time management and route planning Defensive driving techniques Paperwork and manifest accuracy Customer communication Safety and incident reporting
