Ryder, a leader in transportation and logistics, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Over-The-Road (OTR) Truck Driver with a CDL Class A license to join our innovative fleet. Our drivers play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of goods, fostering client satisfaction and upholding the integrity of supply chains across various industries. Responsibilities Operate a commercial heavy vehicle to transport goods long-distance, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Monitor loading and unloading processes to ensure goods are handled correctly. Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Manage route planning and schedule adherence, adjust plans as needed to meet delivery demands. Conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure operational reliability. Document delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and other required paperwork accurately and promptly. Required Skills Strong driving skills with ability to manage extended hours on the road. Proficient in using GPS and other routing systems. Excellent communication and time management skills. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving heavy loads. Knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws.
