GENERAL SUMMARY
Works under the supervision of the Materials Manager. The Materials Distribution/Truck Driver's primary job function is to load, unload, and transport materials and equipment to and from SOMC facilities and affiliates. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent
High School Exam Required Licensure:
BMVL required (Must maintain eligibility to drive as determined by SOMC insurance carriers) BLS/AED training course within 90 days of hire required
Experience:
Previous experience in warehouse inventory control preferred.
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
The following is a summary of the major job duties of this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Transports all materials to and from SOMC facilities and affiliates in a timely and efficient manner based on a reasonable time table schedule. 2. Loads/unloads truck using various materials handling equipment. 3. Maintains vehicle and delivery carts in a clean, sanitary, and operational condition. 4. Operates Materials Management vehicles properly and safely. 5. Performs daily vehicle inspection duties. 6. Schedules regular routine maintenance on vehicles. 7. Transports all priority deliveries. 8. Utilizes delivery app daily to ensure signatures for deliveries electronically. 9. Fills in for other distribution driver if needed. Why SOMC?
