Job Description

Overview We are seeking motivated and reliable Van owners and operators to join our dynamic transportation team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage your own vehicle while delivering essential goods efficiently and safely across various routes. DELIVERY DRIVERS NEEDED - CLEVELAND, OHIO
Responsibilities Operate vans and commercial vehicles equipped for refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized cargo as needed Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) driving routes and local destinations Load and unload freight safely, adhering to logistics cargo handling procedures and manual handling best practices Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and hazardous goods handling protocols Transport automobile parts, freight, or hazardous materials while maintaining strict safety standards for dangerous goods Manage truck loading and unloading processes efficiently while ensuring proper documentation and cargo security Maintain vehicle condition through routine inspections and reporting any mechanical issues promptly Experience Proven experience in delivery driving, truck driving, or commercial driving roles with a focus on route driving and freight delivery Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, or tractor-trailers is highly desirable Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT compliance, and safety standards for over-the-road transportation Hands-on experience with truck loading/unloading procedures and manual handling techniques Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory for certain roles depending on vehicle type Ability to operate manual transmissions confidently in various vehicle types including tractor-trailers and delivery vans Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling processes and delivery driver responsibilities Are option 2 SEASONAL
CARGO VAN DELIVERY DRIVERS NEEDED OCTOBER THROUGH DECEMBER
We are currently looking for dependable drivers to operate company-provided cargo vans for a seasonal package delivery opportunity running from October through December. This position will involve delivering residential packages in a similar manner to our regular local delivery routes, with drivers completing approximately 40-60 stops per day, depending on the route and package volume. PAY Drivers can average approximately $1,500 per week. Fuel/gas expenses will be compensated, so drivers will not be expected to cover the full cost of fuel out of their own pocket while completing assigned routes.
VEHICLE PROVIDED A
cargo van will be provided for the driver to operate during the assignment.
Drivers must have:
A valid driver's license A good driving record The ability to safely operate a cargo van A working smartphone Reliable communication The ability to complete residential package deliveries efficiently A dependable and professional work attitude
IMPORTANT - OVERNIGHT ARRANGEMENTS
Drivers should understand that this position may require them to stay on the road overnight during the assignment. Each cargo van will be equipped with: A sleeping bed/setup inside the van Basic items needed to make overnight stays more comfortable Space for personal belongings and necessary travel items Drivers should be comfortable with sleeping inside the provided cargo van when necessary. Traditional hotel accommodations are not automatically included with this position.
SHOWER & PERSONAL CARE
Because drivers may be staying on the road, showers and personal care will generally be handled at truck stops or travel centers such as: Pilot Travel Centers Flying J Love's Travel Stops Similar truck stop facilities Drivers should be comfortable using these facilities for showers and other personal needs while completing the assignment.
WORK EXPECTATIONS
This is a temporary seasonal position from October through December.
Drivers can expect:
Residential package deliveries Approximately 40-60 stops per day Regular driving throughout the assigned delivery area Possible overnight stays in the cargo van Fuel compensation Company-provided cargo van Sleeping setup provided inside the van Consistent work throughout the busy holiday delivery season
