Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Non-Emergency Medical Transport Wheelchair Driver to join our growing team in the Lincoln County market. As a wheelchair driver, you will be responsible for transporting non-emergency patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare facilities. Our Direct Medical Transport (DMT ) service specializes in compassionate wheelchair/stretcher transportation for those with mobility challenges. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Transporting patients and clients utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manner
  • Assisting with boarding and exiting, and securement of client and wheelchair according to industry standards.
  • Effectively communicate with dispatch regarding schedule progress and to receive instructions.
  • Maintain a professional image and attitude in regards to clients, visitors and co-workers.
  • Assist clients and patients as needed to safely complete the transfer.
  • Complete daily vehicle pre-trip and post trip inspections, and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
  • Must be able to understand and operate vehicle dispatch system. Requirements
  • Be able to pass pre-employment and random drug test (includes testing for marijuana)
  • Have a good driving record.
  • Be able to pass a background check including driving and non-driving criminal offenses.
  • Must be physically able to step up and down steps, safely secure clients for transport, lift 50 lbs. plus, and transport wheelchair patients on paved and unpaved surfaces.
  • Have a valid Oregon driver's license.
  • Must be at least 25 years of age.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with a diverse patient population.

  • Monday thru Friday- Early Morning Availability a Must Weekends as needed
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
    Driving:
    3 year (required)
    • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
    License/Certification:
    • Valid driver's license (required)
    • Clean Driving Record
    • CDL license (optional)/
