At Bell & Evans, we are looking for dependable and safety-focused CDL Class A Drivers to join our Live Haul team. In this role, you will operate a diesel-powered tractor trailer to transport live poultry and move trailers across company property as assigned by management.
JOB SUMMARY
The Live Haul Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of live poultry between farms and processing facilities while ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations, animal welfare standards, and company safety policies. This role operates diesel-powered tractor trailer combinations and performs trailer jockeying throughout company property to support daily production and transportation operations. What You ll Do Safely operate tractor-trailer combinations to transport live poultry. Jockey and position trailers throughout company property. Maintain accurate DOT-compliant logs and documentation. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment. Respond calmly and effectively to on-road situations when they arise. Support operations by floating to a Dressed Driver position when needed. Operate a forklift when required. Follow all company safety procedures and transportation regulations. What We re Looking For Self-motivated individual who can work independently and take initiative. Strong attention to safety and compliance. Ability to follow directions, adapt to changing schedules, and remain flexible. Ability to work 12+ hour shifts depending on operational needs. Proven excellent attendance and reliability. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. 2+ years of relevant driving or transportation experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid CDL Class A License. Current
DOT / ICC
Physical Certification. Clean driving record for the past 3 years. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, and instructions.
