Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide vital support throughout the school year. Located within a friendly elementary campus, you'll collaborate closely with the school nurse and be integral to maintaining excellent student care.

Key Qualifications:

Active LPN/LVN license Experience in school health or pediatric settings preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to respond quickly and calmly in urgent situations Reliability for consistent coverage throughout the academic year

Primary Responsibilities:

Support the lead nurse in the daily operations of the health office, including administering medications, managing student health records, and assessing student needs Deliver one-on-one or small group medical assistance to students as required Serve as a substitute Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for two students: providing full PCA coverage if their assigned PCA is absent and assisting the nurse with diabetes management as needed Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all state and federal guidelines related to student health Work during school hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 3:30pm Contribute to a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for students and staff As an LPN in this setting, you'll develop strong clinical and leadership skills while making a noticeable difference in students' academic experiences.
