Job description: American Asphalt Paving Co., a local road construction company located in Shavertown, PA, is seeking experienced
TRI-AXLE DUMP TRUCK DRIVERS
with manual and/or automatic transmission experience.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will be responsible for hauling materials (stone, asphalt, soil, etc.) to/from job sites, backing into the paver and offloading liquid asphalt. Prefer candidates with 2 years dump truck driving experience in the road construction industry, or other applicable truck/industry. Home same day! Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily. Keep interior truck and dump body clean. Able to communicate with customers & dispatchers.
Qualifications and Skills:
Valid CDL Class A or Class B license, with manual and/or automatic transmission experience. Clean motor vehicle driving record. Must be able to pass DOT physical and maintain a current medical card. Dump experience helpful. Must be willing and available to work overtime, including weekends -- particularly during peak season. On occasion, position will require driver to work a night shift. Applicant must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test, and be willing to submit to, and pass, random drug/alcohol testing thereafter. Pay commensurate with experience.
