Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. You'll be the backbone of our logistics operations, navigating over-the-road (OTR) routes and handling hazardous materials with confidence. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure on-time deliveries across various regions Load, secure, transport, and unload freight such as refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, dangerous goods, and specialty cargo like automobile transportation or tanker loads Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to maintain safety standards and vehicle performance Handle manual cargo handling tasks with proper techniques to ensure load stability and compliance with hazardous materials regulations Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and compliance records in accordance with FMCSA regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered during transit Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers preferred Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in various environments Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operations, flatbed hauling, tanker transport, and hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) is highly desirable Ability to manually handle cargo safely while loading/unloading freight; familiarity with truck loading/unloading procedures Strong understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, and hazardous materials handling requirements Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time tracking Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service excellence Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise fuels our success!
