Riverside Transport is hiring a Yard Jockey to safely move trailers in our Kansas City yard and support efficient freight flow. In this role, you'll spot trailers to and from dock doors, complete accurate yard checks, and coordinate closely with dispatch and warehouse teams. You'll perform pre- and post-trip inspections, follow all safety and DOT rules, and help keep the yard organized and running on schedule. Responsibilities Safely move trailers in and out of dock doors and yard spots using a yard truck/hostler Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on yard tractors and trailers, reporting any defects Verify trailer numbers, seal integrity, and shipping paperwork for accuracy Coordinate closely with dispatch, warehouse, and drivers to meet loading/unloading schedules Maintain an organized, efficient, and safe yard flow to minimize delays Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies and wear required PPEAssist with yard checks, inventory of trailers, and placement of priority loads Operate in varying weather and light conditions while maintaining safety standards Required Skills Yard truck/hostler operation Trailer spotting and backing Vehicle inspection (pre/post trip) Basic
