Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and other large commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes. Your expertise in driving different types of trucks—including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks—will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions and other specialized trucks such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement. Follow designated routes for delivery and pick-up assignments, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in compliance with federal regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delivery schedules, or any vehicle issues that arise during transit. Assist with warehouse duties as needed to support overall operations and ensure smooth delivery processes. Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Experience operating various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles. Prior experience in freight delivery, route driving, or truck driving roles preferred. Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment like forklifts or manual methods when necessary. Knowledge of safety protocols related to transporting hazardous or specialized cargo such as tankers or refrigerated goods.
