Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Company Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! In this vital role, you will operate tractor-trailers and specialized vehicles such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route planning, and cargo handling will keep our logistics moving smoothly. We are looking for motivated drivers who thrive on over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, adhere strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, and enjoy the thrill of navigating complex logistics cargo handling tasks. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized vehicles for automobile transportation and hazardous materials (hazmat) when certified. Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure on-time deliveries across OTR routes. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of cargo such as hazardous goods or dangerous materials according to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with FMCSA regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and cargo manifests in accordance with DOT regulations. Load & unload freight at various facilities using truck loading/unloading techniques while adhering to safety standards. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route adjustments, delivery schedules, or issues encountered during trips. Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving preferred. Proven experience in delivery driving, route driving, or freight transportation involving tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty vehicles. Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operation, hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), and dangerous goods handling is a plus. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks comfortably; familiarity with manual handling equipment is desirable. Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, and hazardous materials regulations for safe transportation practices. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, manual handling proficiency for cargo loading/unloading, and route planning using GPS navigation tools. Physical ability to handle the demands of over-the-road trucking routes including long hours on the road and manual cargo handling tasks. $1,300.00 - $3,500.00 per week
