Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Class A CDL Driver specializing in tanker and hazardous materials transportation! This energetic role offers the opportunity to operate tractor-trailers across over-the-road routes, delivering hazardous and refrigerated cargo safely and efficiently. As a vital link in our logistics chain, you'll ensure compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations while providing exceptional service to our clients. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with tanker and flatbed configurations across long-distance OTR routes, adhering strictly to all DOT and FMCSA regulations. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following strict safety protocols and regulatory standards. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo integrity and securement during transit. Utilize GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes, monitor traffic conditions, and ensure timely deliveries. Conduct pre-trip inspections of trucks, trailers—including refrigerated units—and cargo to guarantee vehicle safety and compliance. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and incident reports in accordance with regulatory requirements. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route adjustments, delivery schedules, or any safety concerns during transit. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers. Valid Class A CDL license with endorsements for hazmat (H), tanker (N), and possibly refrigerated (R) loads. Strong understanding of hazardous materials regulations and safe manual handling procedures for dangerous goods. Proficiency in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time traffic updates. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to driver hours of service, load securement, and vehicle maintenance. Skilled in truck loading/unloading processes, including freight handling for logistics cargo.
