TITLE :

Commercial Swing Driver Position Summary:

The Swing Driver, under direction of the Operations Supervisor, distributes, collects, and empties the company issued commercial waste receptacles (rear load and front load) for Apache Disposal customers.

Essential Functions:

Performs and documents pre-trip and post-trip inspections of company issued vehicles Runs a commercial sanitation route for residential and/or commercial customers, completes container work orders on daily route sheet Actively communicates all changes to daily route sheet to the dispatch team Notifies supervisor of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage that may occur while completing activities on route Reviews and completes daily work orders Ability to proficiently navigate, in forward and reverse motion, driveways, alleyways, empty lots, high traffic roadways with potential limited overhead and compact areas. Ability to operate vehicles in accordance with DOT requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to safely operate a DOT vehicle (straight truck and truck and trailer combo) Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance Ability to work with coworkers. Education and Experience Possess a valid Class A or B Driver's License. 3 years of professional commercial driving experience preferred. Working Conditions This position will be based in an outdoor environment, exposed to the elements, with extended periods of standing, sitting, squatting, climbing, reaching, and lifting.

Pay:

$22.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
