Class A CDL Driver / Equipment Operator We're looking for an experienced Class A driver who's also a real equipment operator, someone who can haul it, unload it, and run it. This isn't an entry-level position for either skill. If you're solid behind the wheel and solid on the sticks, keep reading. What you'll be doing You'll haul pipe, scrap, debris, valves, and equipment on step-deck, end dump, and RGN trailers. When you get to a job site, you'll unload your own equipment (skytrack, excavator, wheel loader, skid steer) and use it to load trucks for the project. You're running the whole operation on-site, not waiting around for someone else to show up and run equipment for you. What we need from you Valid Class A CDL with real experience, not someone still learning. Comfortable and confident hauling step-deck, end dump, and RGN trailers. Experienced running a skytrack, excavator, wheel loader, or skid steer, not brand new to equipment. Able to diagnose issues with your rig if something's not right; we'll always send it to the shop for actual repairs, but you should know what's going on. record and able to follow all regs without exception. Schedule and travel This is a Monday through Friday job with travel required. Most of our work is within about 4.5 hours of Millsap, TX, and that's where you'll be 85% of the time. A couple times a year we run projects up in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and the Dakotas, we don't send crews up there when roads are icy, so it's not a year-round thing. If the schedule allows, you're home every weekend, no questions asked. If a project needs you to stay through the weekend, we'll never keep you out more than 3 weekends in a row. Pay and perks Pay range is $29 to $34/hr for the right person, plus a $0.10/mile bonus on top of your hourly rate. You're paid anytime you're on the clock, even away from home. We also pay a $40/day per diem every night you're away, and we put you up in nice hotels, not the cheap stuff. On top of that, if you can run a project on your own or with a labor hand without needing a project manager sent out, you'll earn a bonus based on a percentage of the project's profit. For the right person who wants to grind, this is realistically a $120,000 to $150,000 a year job. Equipment We take care of our stuff. Our trucks are newer and well maintained, and our equipment is current model. You won't be running down equipment held together with duct tape.
