Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dependable Delivery Driver/Shop Worker to join our dynamic team! In this role you will be responsible for delivering materials safely and efficiently to our valued customers while also supporting shop operations. Your enthusiasm for customer service, combined with your ability to handle physical tasks and operate various vehicles and equipment, will ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities Safely operate delivery truck which is a 20' flatbed and be able to pull various size trailers. Load and unload goods using forklifts or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures. Deliver products directly to customers' locations, providing excellent customer service through professional communication and assistance. Assist in shop duties such as loading and offloading delivery trucks, prepare materials for shipping and help with day to day shop operations. Load and secure shipments for delivery, verifying accuracy against orders and documentation. Maintain accurate delivery paperwork, route records, and safety documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. Experience Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is required; familiarity with route driving is essential. Shop experience involving loading/unloading goods, inventory management, or operating forklifts is required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience with a delivery truck or similar vehicle is required. (No CDL required) Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly; comfort with manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude; excellent communication abilities are essential for interacting with clients and team members. Knowledge of safety procedures related to driving, moving heavy loads, and operating shop equipment such as forklifts.
