Duties Operate dump trucks, excavators, loaders, backhoes, water trucks, and other construction machinery with precision and safety compliance. Transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and other construction supplies across job sites efficiently. Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety procedures. Assist with excavation tasks, site grading, utility locating, and general construction activities as needed. Labor Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times to maintain a secure work environment. Support construction utility work by assisting with utility line locating and related tasks under supervision. Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and safety inspections for accountability. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving and heavy equipment operation within a construction setting. Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and performing basic repairs on machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks. Familiarity with construction utility work including utility locating techniques. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and adherence to OSHA standards. Ability to operate construction grading equipment with precision for site preparation projects. Skilled in equipment maintenance routines to ensure longevity and safe operation of machinery.
