Manual transmission Full Job Description WRS has immediate openings for experienced Truck Drivers with at least 2+ years of related experience in the field. The person(s) who fill this position will be responsible for a range of routine and complex transportation duties in various types of trucks. This includes dump trucks, dump truck and transfers, stellar trucks, belt trailers, tractor fifth wheel trucks, low-boy trucks, etc. About WRS WRS offers a wide range of services in a number of industries. Your Responsibilities Transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, asphalt paving material, waste material, etc. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned truck. This position may require regular out of town travel, including overnight stays, home every weekend. Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water, etc. Perform minor truck repairs or reports defects to the maintenance department. Maneuver the truck and trailer in and around tight corners, through various industrial plants and job sites in and around highly congested areas. WRS truck drivers also perform many laboring duties and are expected to be able and willing to perform those duties. They may be asked to work in the warehouse, stand a fire watch, hole watch or pump watch. They may also be asked to be a truck spotter or rider. (See the Human Resources Department for a Laborer Job Description.) Maintain and protect all WRS property. Ensure all equipment is returned in the same condition it was lent. Perform all duties in compliance with all Federal, State, WRS and Client Health & Safety standards. Perform other assigned tasks and supports company goals and objectives.Oversight Responsibilities:
From time-to-time a WRS truck driver may be asked to give oversight to a job. That assignment will be delegated by WRS management to an employee who is deemed qualified to lead a specific job. Your Experience & Qualifications Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) Proficient in manual 13 and 18 speed transmissions. 2+ years of related experience in the field. Obtain and maintain all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA, WISHA, WRS and Client safety programs and policies. Proficient in mountain driving and chain up procedures. WRS truck drivers are considered operators of their truck and must be able to perform the functions of the truck to the truck's capability and the job specifications.
