Ready Mix Concrete Truck Driver:
Under the direction of the Dispatcher, the RMC Truck Driver will be responsible for delivering Ready Mix Concrete safely and efficiently to various customers in Wisconsin and Michigan. Full Time -
Seasonal Roles and Responsibilities:
Operate and drive truck as directed for mixing and delivering RMC to customers/contractors on residential, commercial, industrial, and DOT projects. Operate RMC truck auxiliary equipment such as chutes, levers, drums and wash equipment. Responsible for preventative maintenance on RMC truck. Perform or assist in repair work. Understand basic concrete mix design goals and testing requirements to assist in delivering material that meets specifications. Perform a variety of other duties assigned by the plant operator or management.
Qualifications:
Must have a Valid Driver's License with a Class B CDL and a satisfactory driving record. Ability to operate, maintain, and clean equipment. Able to comply with and operate and maintain an electronic logging device (ELD). Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner. Must be punctual and dependable. Must have reliable transportation and show up for work on time every day. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening to be hired. Ability to obtain ACI concrete testing certifications. Be capable of operating computerized equipment. Must have a smartphone for company related information.
Preferred Skills:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
Job Requirements:
Operate vehicles and maintains personal safety in accordance with Company, FMCSA, and OSHA policy guidelines. Stay informed of all applicable D.O.T. rules and regulations, and operates within those rules and regulations. Perform daily pre-trip inspection on truck and related equipment for operation and safety. Keep truck in premium operating condition. Use sound judgement when setting up equipment on job sites that may be dangerous for the operator, equipment or other personnel. Read and understand delivery tickets, especially with regard to delivery location and types and quantity of materials to be delivered. Reports back to dispatch using proper communication procedure, with status of job and for other scheduling purposes. Follow instructions and guidance from management and supervisors. Ability to deal with customers in a diplomatic manner in various situations. Be available to work from April 1st to December 15th. Will require working long hours, every other weekend in the summer, occasional night shifts, and working in Wisconsin and Michigan. Be able to work in a road construction or jobsite environment which includes; traffic, heat, cold, rain, and dirt. Be able to walk, sit, climb a ladder, bend, kneel, reach, grasp, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be willing to operate other equipment and perform labor or other job descriptions as directed.
