NVH Attribute Engineer#26-29759 $74.51-$79.51 per hour Foster City, CA Onsite Job Description Our client, a AV Manufacturing company, is looking for a NVH Attribute Engineer for their Foster City, CA location.
Responsibilities:
Develop and integrate NVH performance attributes, including Thermal systems, Aeroacoustics (wind noise), and Airborne Noise.
Activities include:
Identifying and defining the voice of the customer Developing vehicle level requirements Defining and assuring NVH content is developed to meet requirements, Creating and collaborating on CAE and hardware plans, Reporting out status during gate reviews and engineering meetings, as required. Represent NVH in packaging meeting and design gates to execute the NVH content strategy in CAD, and provide an NVH input for packaging studies Conduct vehicle- and bench-level testing to assess and predict NVH performance on complete vehicle Perform experimental test methods such as transfer path analysis to quantify and rank noise contributions Develop and refine testing methodologies to improve accuracy and efficiency Document test procedures, results, and analysis in detailed reports Determine the impact of proposed designs, problem root cause, and develop countermeasures
Requirements:
Experience in presenting / advocating in large design forums and excellent verbal/written communication skills NVH development experience in thermal systems, acoustics, wind noise / aeroacoustics 4 to 6 years of automotive or related NVH development experience Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study Excellent understanding of acoustics and vibration principles Experience in vehicle-level NVH development and integration Hands-on experience with vehicles, instrumentation, and data acquisition Experience with acoustic and vibration test equipment and data analysis software (LMS, Test.

Lab, HEAD Acoustics ArtemiS, etc.) Excellent communication and collaboration skills
