  • 45 per hour depending on experience | Full-Time | Start within the next 1-2 weeks California Backflow & Chlorination is hiring a certified backflow tester to join our San Diego field team. This is a mobile, hands-on role
  • you will drive to job sites across San Diego County each day, test and repair backflow prevention assemblies, and keep our customers in compliance with their local water purveyors.
We are a growing company with steady work and a solid book of commercial, municipal, and property-management clients. If you hold your backflow tester certification and want consistent full-time hours with real earning potential, we would like to talk.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Driving a daily route to commercial, residential, and municipal sites throughout San Diego County Testing backflow prevention assemblies (RP, DC, PVB, SVB, AVB) and documenting results accurately Diagnosing failed assemblies and performing repairs and rebuilds in the field Completing test reports and submitting results to the appropriate water district or purveyor Communicating professionally with property managers, facility staff, and building owners on site Maintaining your tools, test kit, and vehicle in clean, working order
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Current backflow tester certification
  • required (AWWA, ABPA, or equivalent recognized by San Diego County water agencies) Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
  • required Comfortable working independently and managing your own day in the field Reliable, on time, and professional with customers Able to lift, kneel, and work in vaults, mechanical rooms, and outdoor conditions Basic plumbing knowledge and mechanical aptitude Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, not required
PAY AND SCHEDULE
$35.00
  • 45.00 per hour, based on certification level, testing experience, and repair ability Full-time, Monday through Friday, day shift Steady year-round work
  • this is not a seasonal position Start date within the next one to two weeks
