Role Summary Located in Youngwood, PA, we are looking for a committed Carman Welder Mechanic to support our operations. You will be instrumental in the upkeep and restoration of our railcar fleet, which is essential for our operational safety and productivity. We invite individuals who excel in welding and mechanical work and thrive within a team-oriented setting to apply. Key Duties Execute welding and fabrication projects on railcars to help maintain high safety standards. Identify and fix mechanical malfunctions within railcar components such as wheels, couplers, and braking systems. Perform regular maintenance checks to keep our railcars running at peak efficiency. Work alongside colleagues to identify and fix complex technical challenges. Keep precise documentation regarding all maintenance and repair tasks performed. Follow all established safety guidelines and operational regulations to foster a secure workplace. Provide guidance and support to newer team members during their training. Required Skills and Experience Completion of high school or a GED; specialized education in mechanics or welding is a plus. Demonstrated history of success in mechanical and welding roles, ideally within an industrial or rail environment. Deep understanding of mechanical systems and various welding methodologies. Proficiency in analyzing and understanding technical schematics and blueprints. Strong analytical capabilities and a keen eye for precision. Capable of working effectively both solo and in a collaborative group setting. Possession of a current driver's license and dependable personal transport.
