Okatie, SC Job Details Full-time 7 days ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description General Definition of Work The Chechessee Creek Golf Outside Services Attendant is responsible for providing bags, golf car and range services to members and guests. This position reports directly to the Head Golf Professional and Director of Outside Services. Essential Functions The following functions are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position. Brings golf cars from car shelter to car staging area outside Golf Pro Shop; checks golf cars for tire pressure, brake operation and other safety considerations. Loads bags from bag storage room onto golf cars. Transports range balls to each end of range and fills appropriate containers. Places baskets of balls at evenly spaced intervals on range. Operates ball picker on range to retrieve balls. Wash all range balls daily. Removes bags from golf cars and returns bags to assigned rack in bag storage room. Returns golf cars to car shelter; removes towels, pencils, score cards, tees, drink cans, etc., from golf cars and saves reusable items; checks cars for damage; washes golf cart; parks car in shelter and connects charger cable. Advises Pro Shop of clubs found on the course and destined for the lost and found. Cleans all clubs for members and guests; cleans and maintains the club's rental equipment. Cleans bag drop and surrounding areas. Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Professional Golf Staff, Director of Outside Services and Caddie Master. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledgeable about the game of golf and its rules. Knowledge of and ability to perform the required role in emergency situations. Education and Experience High School diploma or GED equivalent. One to two years' experience preferred Special Requirements Valid driver's license. Physical Requirements The work requires the regular exertion of up to 25 pounds of force and frequent exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; work regularly requires standing for long periods of time, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, bending, stretching, and twisting or reaching, using hands to finger, handling or feeling and repetitive motions, pushing, pulling or lifting up to 50 pounds. Work requires handling of golf equipment; work has regular vision requirements, vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires the use of measuring devices and observing general surroundings and activities; work has some exposure to environmental conditions.
