In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the parking lot, assisting guests with parking questions, collecting parking fees when applicable, and helping maintain a safe and organized parking area. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, interacting with guests, and staying active in a fast-paced environment. Parking attendants should be dependable, professional, alert, and comfortable working in various weather conditions. Responsibilities Monitor the parking lot to help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient parking environment Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner as they arrive at Reds Ice House Direct guests to available parking spaces when necessary Assist guests with parking questions and provide clear directions Monitor vehicles entering and exiting the parking area Collect and accurately process parking fees when applicable Maintain accurate cash handling and provide correct change when required Communicate effectively with management and other team members regarding parking operations Assist with parking lot setup and breakdown, including cones, signs, barricades, and other equipment Keep the parking area clean and free of unnecessary debris or hazards Report suspicious activity, accidents, damaged vehicles, or safety concerns to management immediately Help manage increased traffic and parking volume during busy nights, special events, and Texas A&M game days Enforce parking policies in a professional and respectful manner Assist guests with general questions and provide excellent customer service Perform other duties as assigned by management Qualifications Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, punctual, and dependable Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods of time Willingness to work in hot, cold, rainy, or otherwise changing weather conditions Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and move parking equipment such as cones, signs, and barricades Basic math skills and the ability to accurately handle cash when required Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult situations or guest concerns Previous parking, customer service, restaurant, or outdoor work experience is a plus but not required Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and high-volume event days as scheduled Uniform Requirements All Parking Lot Attendants are required to arrive for every shift in a clean, professional, and appropriate uniform: Black polo shirt Black shorts Comfortable shoes Clean and presentable appearance Employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance throughout their shift.
