Job Description

HBM is looking for an alert and customer-focused individual for a Campus Ambassador position. If you are someone who is reliable and has great communication skills please read the full description and submit your resume. The schedule for this position is Mon - Fri 9am to 5:30pm
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the Campus Ambassador is responsible for enforcing safe school practices and visitor protocols for the school campus. The Campus Ambassador helps provide an optimal learning environment and acts as a deterrent to unsafe or poor behavior by providing high visibility throughout the school and contacts appropriate authorities and administrators in response to safety concerns or incidents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Walk the campus, hallways, common areas, parking lots, and exterior grounds, and parking areas to observe for safety. Provide high visibility across campus to deter unsafe or inappropriate behavior, loitering, and disruptions and monitor and control all entry and exit points, verifying visitor credentials and follow visitor protocols. Welcome and assist students, staff, and visitors in a professional, supportive manner and ensure students and guests sign in and out. Escort visitors as needed and ensure proper adherence to campus protocols. Provide traffic control during drop-off and pick-up, and assist students and staff in safely crossing streets. Driving Drive students (10 passenger van) and/or staff to and from school-related activities such as field trips, games, and practices, following a planned route and scheduled stops. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any mechanical or safety issues. Maintain clean driving records and comply with all motor vehicle laws and school transportation policies. Other Support Assist in setup and tear-down of school events, including moving furniture, setting up traffic safety zones, and general event logistics. Support intra-event operational needs, including helping manage crowd flow and providing logistical support for school gatherings. On closed-campus days or when transportation duties are not required, assist the facilities team with light maintenance duties, including but not limited to: cleaning, painting, and other campus support duties. Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities): High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to communicate clearly in a professional and positive manner Ability to use sound judgement in difficult situations and solve problems effectively. Ability to work independently and alert with limited supervision Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques and de-escalation techniques. Valid Driver license and clean driving record Ability to drive a 10-passenger van Certification Requirements CPR and First Aid certification required within 1 year after entering position. Preferred education and experience 1-year experience working in a school setting. Working knowledge of two-way radio. Basic knowledge of using a PC and MS Office software. Experience in a customer service role.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, pull, and push 40 pounds occasionally. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and walk for long periods of time during a shift.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to pass Federal background check (livescan). Vaccination requirements
